Behind the scenes during fashion week!
This post is about my latest discoveries during this Paris Fashion Week! I will take you behind the scenes where I have put together a selection of pictures showcasing the up and coming collections for this fall Winter 2015-16. I must say they never seem to surprise me!
Lets start with French designer Aude Castéja- Founder of Monographie.
Aude is a french designer based in Paris. This collection is her fourth season and I can say there is something in there for every woman.
I would define her collection as minimal chic, the fine structured lines and the simplicity of her cuts makes you look effortlessly chic “à la parisenne”. A mix between Joseph and Margela. What more can you ask for, perfect combination!
Lets start with lebanese beauty accessory designer Nathalie Trad.
Now this is what I call pure beauty in terms of design. Inspired from an early age by her mother’s flower store in Dubai, she already had a sense of beauty and embellishment. All hand made in the phillipines, Nathalie uses pearls to create these wonderful geometric clutches, taking us to a new level of accessory and design.
Sandra Mansour based in Beirut never ceases to surprise me. I have been following her since the beginning of her collection when I decided to work with her on my Gstaad Pop Up store. When I received the dresses I flipped out, died and went to heaven! There are no words to explain this extremely talented designer who makes you believe that life can be a fairy tale.
“ITS ALL ABOUT THE DRESS”. In her new collection we still connect with the arabic world with a strong european influence. Playful capes, jackets and Kimonos mixed in with checkered suits. Throughout Sandra Mansour’s new collection there is something for the european glamourous woman as well as for the glamourous middle eastern princess.
Moving back to Northern country with the the infamous danish brand YDE based in Copenhagen. If you are looking for your perfect party dress, YDE is your brand. One of a kind pieces with a fresh and dynamic northern feel to it. The new collection takes you back in time, referring back to Margo Hemingway and The Great Gatsby.
Last but not least, I would like to mention Paskal, one of my most recent discoveries. This Ukranian brand winner of the LVMH prize, combines a sensitive design with a strong personality. One of a kind pieces, a real treasure you wish to keep in your closet forever. You can find this brand @colette in paris.
